Inside The Iggles: Philadelphia Ealges News, Rumors and Links for 6/26

Being that this is a relatively continuous lull for the Philadelphia Eagles, we have decided to put together a twitter package of the biggest NFL news from today — the arrest (by the police) and the release (by the New England Patriots) of Aaron Hernandez.

First, the arrest.

Then, the details surrounding it.

Next, the news that no one saw coming.

Finally, the backlash from Twitter personalities.

It has been a busy morning on Twitter so far due to the Hernandez story. If he is cleared of charges, there could be 31 NFL teams picking up the phone rather fast. Stay tuned for future updates.

It’ll be a sad (yet predictable) day in the NFL if 31 teams hurry to their phones should Hernandez be acquitted. Personally, no matter what the outcome, I think he’s played his final down in the league. We’ll be finding out plenty about this guy in the coming months…and my guess is it ain’t gonna be pretty.
