Nick Foles is in the Hall of Fame…

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

… well his jersey is.

On November 3, 2013 the Philadelphia Eagles Quarterback Nick Foles achieved something that only 6 other quarterbacks in the history of the NFL has accomplished. Of course you know by now he threw 7 touchdown passes against the Oakland Raiders. His jersey is now sitting in a display case beside Peyton Manning’s in Canton, Ohio for doing the same thing earlier this year.

Let’s put this into perspective. There are some that say it was a fluke. And they may present some evidence to support that. Like the fact that Oakland is a pretty lousy team. But look at the bigger picture. There have been hundreds of quarterbacks in the history of the NFL.  And they have played some lousy teams over the years. But they did not throw 7 touchdown passes. They did not get a perfect passer rating of 158.3. But Foles did. That is a fact.

How did he follow-up that little show? He threw for three touchdowns, 228 yards with a passer rating of 149.3. Nick Foles is not a fluke. He has thrown for 15 touchdowns and no picks. He has won 4 of the last 5 games he has played. He is showing no signs of letting up. Maybe one day his bronze bust will join that jersey in Canton.
