John Geliebter-USA TODAY Sports

It’s no secret the Philadelphia Eagles’ defense has struggled this year. Until today they ranked 31st in Yards Per Game allowed at 417. That is a lot of ball movement allowed in a 60 minute time frame. In the past three to four games they have improved and shown promise. Today for the first three quarters they looked like a much improved squad.

The Eagles’ Defense shut the Redskins’ passing game down in the first half. They gave up a little in the running game but the only time the Redskins moved into the Red Zone the Eagles forced a fumble. The Redskins reached the Eagle 39 on their first possession but the Eagles’ pass protection was too much for the Redskins.
