In the possibly the most anti-climactic move for Philadelphia Eagles’ Head Coach Chip Kelly named Philadelphia Eagles Quarterback Nick Foles as the Eagles’ starter for the rest of the season. The only person not surprised by the decision would have to be a monk in Tibet who doesn’t even know American Football exists. There was always a possibility that Philadelphia Eagles Quarterback Michael Vick could be named the starter. At least that is what Kelly had us believe.
Vick says he is OK with the decision. He alluded to that earlier last week when he said he thinks Foles should get the start. Now that the Eagles have a new starter a new question emerges; where does Michael Vick go from here? It doesn’t seem Vick would be happy as a backup QB. He probably has a few good years left in him. A change of scenery may do him good.
There are a few teams that could use a QB out there. He could probably be picked up for a two or three-year contract and serve them well. The Houston Texans are in desperate need of a QB. The Minnesota Vikings could benefit from a seasoned veteran as well. Or possibly the Jacksonville Jaguars.
It will be interesting to see where he will end up. It doesn’t seem Vick will be with the Eagles next season.
