3.) Do you feel the Eagles will be able to contain or stop Calvin Johnson this Sunday?

This is where Reggie Bush is actually key. The Lions have pretty much been able to count on a 100-yard game from Calvin Johnson or a 100-yard game from Bush. Even if one is stopped, the other generally thrives. To answer the question more directly, I never bet against Calvin Johnson. He is just 40 yards away from breaking Herman Moore’s franchise record for career receiving yards so I expect a big day.

4.) The Lions’ record is 7-5. With only one win against a team with a winning record, what chance do you give the Lions to win the NFC North?

Their chances are good. They sit in first place all by themselves and hold a tie-breaker over the Bears due to a season sweep and will finish with a better division record than the Packers. Just going 2-2 in the final four games almost surely gets the job done.

5.) What is your prediction for Sunday’s game?

The only way to predict what will happen on Sunday is to know which Lions team will show up. Will it be the team that can’t get out of its own way with turnovers and penalties, or will it be the team that lives up to its potential and dominates on both sides of the ball? History tells us it will be likely something in the middle but not enough to put them over the top to leave with a win. Eagles 27, Lions 24.
