It was a matter of time before Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Nick Foles threw his first interception of the season. Interceptions are a part of the game. All great quarterbacks have thrown a few. Some that have even cost them the game. The big question wasn’t if or when, it was how would he respond. It was nearly two quarters later before he actually produced a decent drive. What you saw was a quarterback determined to lead his team to victory. Which he later did. So his response was impressive and should have moved him into the MVP conversation.
Here is my take.
There are many quarterbacks that have been stunted by interceptions and fumbles. Foles was working on a perfect season with no interceptions. He is a young, second year quarterback and could have shut down after that interception or the following failed drives. It took two quarters before he connected with Philadelphia Eagles Wide Receiver LeSean Jackson for the Eagles first score of the game. He never stopped trying to make plays. He never gave up. The Eagles are a couple of wins away from the playoffs. Last year their record was 4-12. The Eagles were going nowhere fast this year until Foles took the helm. He has been the difference maker for the Eagles.
