With three games left in the season the Philadelphia Eagles have doubled their wins from last year. With hopes of more to come. A large part is because Philadelphia Eagles running back LeSean McCoy and his contribution to the team this year. He is like a runaway freight train. He leads the league in rushing and shows no signs of letting up. He has been nominated for the FedEx Ground NFL Player of the Week following his record-setting rushing performance in the snow against the Lions on Sunday. There have been reports that his gear is on its way to Canton, Ohio.

Here is my take.

No I am not crazy, I think Philadelphia Eagles running back LeSean McCoy should be in the MVP discussion along with Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Nick Foles. He is four yards from tying his career single-season rushing record. Baring a catastrophe he is sure to exceed that this weekend. He leads the league in rushing yards and his contribution to the team has put them in the playoff hunt. Without him they probably would be in a rebuilding year with a much worse record. So without “Shady” McCoy no one would talk about the Eagles this year. But there needs to be a discussion about his contribution as an MVP candidate.
