The story is old now but the first few games of the Eagles’ season were in shambles and many writers may have felt vindicated by their struggles under head coach Chip Kelly. Many “experts” could not see Kelly’s college offense working in the NFL. But to repeat something that has been used lately in the NFL, Kelly is a quarterback whisperer. Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Nick Foles got the starting job but to be honest, the hope of a good season out of the Birds was gone. Foles hadn’t looked promising last season. It appeared he would be a service quarterback until the Eagles drafted a new quarterback. But Kelly started “whispering” to Foles and you know the rest.
