For a year that was projected for rebuilding, the success of this season’s Philadelphia Eagles was unexpected to say the least. The Birds are flying high into the playoffs and thanks to these five MVP’s, the franchise is amidst a historic year.
CHIPADELPHIA – Philadelphia Eagles’ first-year head coach Chip Kelly has made quite the name for himself around the league, as well as a cozy little home in the city of Philadelphia. In just one season, Kelly has silenced critics and proved his offensive scheme to be more than just a gimmick, by taking last years 4-12 Eagles and catapulting them atop the NFC East. Under Kelly, the Eagles have posted a 10-6 record, secured the division crown, and are back in the playoffs for the first time since 2010. It is more than evident that the entire franchise has bought-in to Uncle Chip’s way. By evaluating his players skill-sets and building a system around their strengths, players have flourished under Kelly’s offense. Not buying it? Explain the emergence of Riley Cooper. Kelly knows how to make his players better – and this, my friends, is why he is considered to be an offensive mastermind. As far as his up-tempo offense and mismatch-genius? Well, that’s just icing on the cake.
