A week removed from the Denver Broncos implosion at the hands of the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl 48 means the off-season is in full swing. The 43-8 Seahawks win reminded everyone of the long standing mantra that “defenses win championships”. The Legion of Boom as Seattle’s Defense identified themselves dominated Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning’s offense from the first snap of the game. It was in many ways a boring game, but it also reinforced the defensive need for any team hopeful of getting to and winning the big game. Which brings us to our beloved Philadelphia Eagles. Numerous apparel ads tout a shirt that in no uncertain terms hopes for one Super Bowl victory before the wearer meets their maker. Quite an ominous thought, but for us die-hards, closer to reality than anyone would like to admit. So if that’s the case, how can the Eagles take their 10-6 2013 regular season, and cash in the big one?
