PhiladelphiaEagles.com reported that 85 underclass-men have been invited the 2014 NFL Scouting Combine. In the past five years the Eagles have selected eight of these underclassmen out of a total of 49 picks. You may have heard of a few of them. Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Jeremy Maclin, tight end Zach Ertz, running backs Bryce Brown and running back LeSean McCoy and defensive end Fletcher Cox. That is pretty good company to be in.

In short, the Birds’ underclassmen have faired very well. Philadelphia Eagles general manager Howie Roseman has a knack to discover young talent. This year’s Combine could be the most important in Eagles history. It is no secret the Eagles are a few great players away from a run to the Super Bowl. Depending on this year’s Free Agency and Draft that run could be this season.

This years’ NFL Draft is loaded with talent. A lot of defensive talent. A lot of offensive talent. With the exception of the 2012 Free Agency period Roseman’s had a great track record. Judging from this past season he has learned a lot from that 2012. Now with Philadelphia Eagles head coach Chip Kelly in tow the “dynamic duo” could make history this year. The Iggles are still in search of the elusive Lombardi Trophy. With the right choices t

his time next year it is possible that sports historians will document every off-season move made by the Eagles.

This isn’t a pipe dream, it could be history in the making.
