Steve Van Buren -  Unlike Andy Reid, I am making a point to have a running back and “Rushmore” in the same sentence. The aforementioned Van Buren leads the Eagles in total rushing touchdowns, is third in all time rushing yards, and helped lead the Eagles to two NFL titles in 1948 and 1949.  Along with being a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, Steve Van Buren led the NFL in rushing yards in four seasons as well as being an All-Pro three times.  While I was never able to witness Van Buren play during my lifetime, I have been fortunate enough to hear stories of the 1947 and 1948 NFL Championship game from my father and grandfather, both of whom are Chicago fans. Despite their disdain for the Eagles, it’s amazing to hear the admiration of Van Buren as a football player.
