Eagles Sign Jason Peters For Five More Years

Today it was reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter per agent Vincent Taylor that the Philadelphia Eagles and pro bowl offensive lineman, Jason Peters have agreed on a contract extension. The deal is for five years, $51.3 million,  $19.5 of which, is garunteed.

Peters is a great lock in for the next five years. After coming off a season of not playing due to injury, Peters came back with high production last year.

Jason Peters is also 32 years of age so you would also assume this means he will be finishing his career with the Eagles. Which is awesome to see. After everything he’s accomplished as an Eagle it’s good to know he’ll be an Eagle for the rest of his career.

I’m absolutely positive Quarterback Nick Foles is happy over this deal. Having a guy he can trust for the next five years is great.

It could be the fact that the NFL rose the salary cap that the Eagles felt making this deal would still keep them in a comfortable place cap space wise.
