The Philadelphia Eagles had a busy week. They locked up some key veteran players. This year, the Eagles’ brass to this point does not have delusions of grandeur. In 2011 they shot for the moon snatching up some free agent talent that on paper looked amazing. But in all the dreams they had one thing got lost in translation. Chemistry. True the talent was there but having the ability to work together as a team wasn’t. The now infamous words uttered by former Titans quarterback Vince Young are but a distant nightmare.

Philadelphia Eagles general manager Howie Roseman learned a valuable lesson in 2011. Instead of “talent” he is now searching for chemistry. Last season the Eagles pulled off a near miracle. Even Eagles wide receiver Riley Cooper’s pre-season rant and fallout thereafter wasn’t enough to keep the Eagles down. Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick stepped up in support of Cooper and in the following weeks the controversy seemed to die down.

Now, if you are like me, you may have some genuine optimism about the recent moves by the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles appear to be heading in the right direction. But let’s not put the cart before the horse.

I like the article it’s so easy to see a couple nice moves by an organization and just say “of course we’re going to win every game” it’s a good point to stay grounded, remember we have a very tough schedule next year, while I think the teams we face next year could turn into a springboard that puts the league on notice, it could also do the opposite. And I think it’s a good thing to remember the dream team was only 3 years away. On a side note that article about maclin and the Eagles being very far apart. I believe that you commented after I poked fun at the author for it getting put up after the signing was done. I was only joking I know how news works my brother is a writer for huff post I’m sure the article was written hours if not a day before it was put up I was only kidding. So no need to get worked up. I love this site and the fact that the public really gets to give input. I think you guys have done a great job of growing and I only hope it continues.

Thanks for the comment, Ryan! We appreciate the vote of confidence and look forward to keeping the ball rolling on this site. It has been a lot of fun lately. I find it hard myself to keep calm. I figured I wasn’t the only one.

About the Maclin article: I got a little defensive for the writer because he scheduled it the day before I knew he could not change it before it posted. I tried to stop it from posting but I could not and felt bad. I am protective of my writers and felt it was my fault for it posting.

Now, I have a bone to pick with Adam Shefter. That cat obviously didn’t know what he was talking about when he tweeted just hours before the deal was done that the two sides were far apart. We are looking for other resources now! HA.

That made me laugh out loud. Seriously though I love the site can’t wait to see it during the season it is some serious fun.

O and make sure that writer knows that was all in good fun

Will do. He’s a pretty good sport. I think I got more defensive than he did over it. Stuff just rolls of Blaine.
