Eagles-Mitchell Talks Still Cooking

According to Carolina Panthers beat writer Joe Person the Philadelphia Eagles are still in talks with safety Mike Mitchell.

A five year veteran Mitchell would add much needed stability to the Eagles squad. 2013 was his first season with the Carolina Panthers. He enjoyed moderate success in his four years with the Oakland Raiders but last season with the Panthers he had four interceptions with a total of 63 yards returned. And with three and a half sacks maybe he is coming into form.

Not sure how this will shake out as the Washington Redskins have interest in him, also. The Eagles have roughly $24 in cap space so they can probably out pay any other team. But Value is the name of the game.

Only thing that worries me dude is skins have 22 mil in cap space according to over the cap. That’s only two less than us and you know how Dan Snyder is with overpaying guys. I really hope we get Mitchell but the skins are the one team, aside I guess from the Raiders, I don’t wanna be in a bidding war with.
