By now it’s clear the Eagles are not showing their cards until later today at 4:00 PM. Lack of much revealing movement from the Eagles could leave you to speculate like a fiend trying to figure out which way they will go today.
In a recent article at The Fantasy Greek, Giorgios Kassakos outlined several potential free agents that could fit the Eagles’ needs for the upcoming season. It’s no secret the Birds need to add some play-makers in their secondary. Kassakos addresses many positions of need as he lists the dwindling list of available players. After yesterday evening’s reports a new name may enter the mix.
In breaking news yesterday, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers look to trade cornerback Darrelle Revis or release him to save a pocketful of salary cap space, ($16 Million).
Short of a trade in the next two days, the Buccaneers are expected to release CB Darrelle Revis by 4 p.m. Wednesday, per league sources.

Not sure anyone would pick Revis up for that price tag but if he is released he could be a little more attractive. With approximately $24 Million of remaining cap space the Eagles could splurge a little, ($8 to $10 Million?) to pick up one of the best cornerbacks in the league if not all time. New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was interviewed in NESN.com thinks Revis is the best cornerback he’s ever played against,
I’ve never played against anyone who is as good as him, he’s as good as there is that I’ve ever played against, so you just have to be careful when you throw his way because you know he’s going to be close. There’s no one that’s going to be wide open, you’ve just got to make sure you put the ball in a position where only the receiver can catch it.
