Adam Shefter reported a little while ago that the Eagles and safety Nate Allen have agreed to a one year contract.
Allen, a second round draft pick in 2010 from South Florida had an OK season last year. He managed to record 82 tackles, one sack, one forced fumble and one interception. He started every game last season as well. Allen’s career numbers are 262, tackles, three sacks, 24 pass deflections, six interceptions and two forced fumbles. Respectable numbers but not great. It seems Eagles head coach Chip Kelly likes to keep one veteran on the squad to help the new-comers as well as compete for the position.
As the writing of this article the details of the contract came in over twitter via Adam Shefter:
Good move? I guess we wait and see. Sound off below to tell us if you think this is a good move or not.
