How good are the Philadelphia Eagles? According to Bovada, an online gambling site, the Philadelphia Eagles are the 6th most likely team to the win the Super Bowl in 2015 with odds of 18-1. They are currently only behind the Seattle Seahawks, Denver Broncos, San Francisco 49ers, New England Patriots, and the Green Bay Packers. Here are the odds of the six most likely teams to win the Super Bowl (via Bovada):

Seattle Seahawks: 6-1
Denver Broncos: 15-2
San Francisco 49ers: 15-2
New England Patriots: 9-1
Green Bay Packers: 10-1
Philadelphia Eagles: 18-1
The Philadelphia Eagles, who had 25-1 odds of winning the Super Bowl after the season ended (via Bovada) , have made some key signings and trades that have improved their chances of winning during the offseason. These additions are reflected into the new Super Bowl odds of 18-1.
Offseason Recap: The Philadelphia Eagles re-signed Riley Cooper, Donnie Jones, Jason Kelce, Jeremy Maclin, Cedric Thorton and Nate Allen. Through Free-Agency, the Eagles added Malcom Jenkins, Nolan Carroll, Bryan Braman, and Chris Maragos. Via trade, the Eagles acquired Saints’ Running Back Darren Sproles.
What’s Next?: Although the Philadelphia Eagles have tackled their largest issue on defense by signing Malcolm Jenkins, the Eagles could still use some help in the secondary and add another pass rusher and better long-term kicker. Look for the Philadelphia Eagles to address these issues in the NFL draft.
Whether the odds are accurate or not, it is evident that the Birds are on a rise.
