The 2014 NFL Mock Draft is creeping ever closer but it is still weeks away. Normally we would be gearing up for the draft this time of year but the NFL moved it up a few months. Earlier on this site an article discussed the recent turbulence the Eagles are experiencing after a relatively quiet beginning to their free agency. They shored up some areas of concern in their defense and special teams. I don’t believe they are finished with the defense and it looks like they plan to continue building it through the draft.

But with recent questions surrounding Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson’s future there could be a wide receiver in the Eagles mix in later rounds.

You will notice I veered from the Eagles need for a pass rusher. I still think they need one but could probably grab one in the later rounds.
