Are you still confident the Eagles can win the Super Bowl this year or next? Now that the dust is somewhat settling over the release of Eagles former wide receiver DeSean Jackson it is time to move on. No one can win a championship looking behind them. The Eagles front office moved on before the announcement of Jackson’s release. But we the fans, may take a little longer to recover and move on. Until Friday, we felt like it was a 50/50 chance Jackson would be let go.

I know I felt like the Eagles needed Jackson to make a serious run to the Super Bowl this season. But as one reader commented, Philadelphia Eagles head coach Chip Kelly has proven he can use the players existing strengths to create a competitive squad. After having the the weekend to think about it I happen to agree. If Kelly, a read-option minded coach can take a relatively immobile quarterback in Eagles quarterback Nick Foles then he can utilize the remainder of the offensive talent to compete for the Lombardi Trophy.

Personally, I am confident Kelly can take the Birds to the playoffs and to the Super Bowl. And if he gets the right player for defense that could possibly happen this year. What do you think?

Here is today’s poll question.

Are you concerned about the Eagles Super Bowl chances with Jackson out?

The team will definitely be very successful. Sproles is a big reason our offense will be that much more dynamic even without jackson.
