What Position Should The Eagles Draft First?

What Position Should The Eagles Draft First? Defense without a doubt. Until Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson was unceremoniously released last month the general consensus had the Eagles picking either a cornerback or defensive end in this the 2014 NFL Draft to bolster their defense. We all had fun trying to pinpoint which position it would be. But now all bets are off. With their main offensive threat gone many speculate they should pick up a wide receiver in the first round. There is a large cast of receivers in this year’s draft so there are plenty to choose from.

I believe Philadelphia Eagles wide receivers Jeremy Maclin and Riley Cooper will serve them well. I definitely don’t believe they need to use their first round pick on a receiver. They truly need a premier pass rusher or shut-down cornerback. Eagles head coach Chip Kelly has proven he can get big production out of the offense he has. But even with Eagles defensive coordinator Billy Davis it was obvious they need some defensive talent badly. I think they need to go big on defense in the first round.

What do you think?

Here is today’s poll question:

Given recent Free Agency moves which position should the Eagles Draft now?
