Chip Kelly Presents: The Philadelphia Eagles Off-Season Show

If there’s one thing certain, it is that the Philadelphia Eagles have put on more than enough entertainment so far this off-season. From cutting their best wide receiver to signing the NFL’s most joke prone Quarterback I think they’ve almost done it all. Year after year fans are forced to sit by and watch their team make decisions, some for the better…and some cringe worthy. We all knew once Former Oregon Duck head coach Chip Kelly came to the NFL whichever team he went to would be under the spotlight and scrutiny, and a year later after all was said and done the critics were wrong and it was a great move. The turnaround of the Eagles came directly from Chip and no one else. One thing I’m asking myself looking back is: Did we think he would have the initiative only a year later to make the moves he is right now? This might just be from me never really looking at Chip Kelly in that perspective, but he has really shown who the man is in Philadelphia these past couple of months. Also how about the draft coming up? EVERYONE knows we need help on the defensive end, but will he stick out there and say he wants a Wide-out as it seems many are projecting now? This can be good or bad for Eagles fans (Personally I think its good), Chip showing faith in himself and his leadership, or Chip showing too much faith in himself and gambling a little too much.

I ask all fellow Eagles fans and just fans in general- Do you like your team being in the spotlight year in and year out or do you prefer them to be the silent killer nobody expects the fireworks to shoot out from? Remember entertainment isn’t everything…not everyone can be the Dallas Cowboys. All I know is either way we don’t really have a choice in what our teams do (Especially the front office), and even though they may make rather unfavorable decisions we must all go through it together.
