This 2014 NFL Mock Draft promises not to be original but realistic. The Eagles need a pass-rusher and a cornerback. Recently there has been speculation the Eagles may or may not take a wide receiver in the first round. I don’t think they will take a wide receiver since they have a great receiver corps and quarterback. Their offense was good last year and will be better this year. Foles shows he only gets better with time and he has a great wide receiver corps.

The Eagles biggest need is defense. Their cornerbacks are getting better and I feel they will continue to improve. I ran three different models and I did not like any of the three different names that came up. None of them were decent defensive players so I went “rougue” with my pick. Let’s see what you think about him.

Can not see dallas passing on Barr at 16and taking the player you mentioned. I think if they can’t get Barr at 16 they move down pick up an additional pick and if they’re high on Smith grab him later in 1st.

Scott, I agree on your comment. I used three different models on this mock and none of them picked Barr for Dallas. I wanted to stay true to the models on this mock. Can’t say I agreed with it either. Thanks for the comment.

    Could hageman fit or transition?

Marqise Lee to the Browns makes little sense since they already have 2 small speedy receivers. Taking him at 4 is plainly idiotic.

Thanks for the comment Outlaw. As you know these Mock Drafts are tricky and this close to draft day makes it even more so. Teams clam up and disappear in an effort to play things close to the vest. The Browns have stated they will take the best player on the board when their pick comes. Marqise could be the best on the board at that time.

I appreciate your comments on the matter. Keep them coming!
