Eagles LeSean McCoy And Darren Sproles: Dynamic Duo

When the Philadelphia Eagles added running back Darren Sproles from the New Orleans Saints last month one could think Eagles running back LeSean McCoy would feel his role could be reduced. But when you are the current NFL Rushing Champion not much threatens you.

But we all know McCoy is a class act. He could arguably be one of the classiest players in the NFL. In a recent interview on ESPN’s Mike and Mike Show the question was asked of McCoy how he felt about Sproles and the possible reduction of his workload.

I think 366 touches is a lot, being in the prime of my career and bringing in a guy like Sproles who can do so much, we’ll work well together. I think having me fresh in the fourth quarter with fewer carries can be even more dangerous.

Sproles and McCoy in the backfield has to make more than a few defenses sweat just a little. Philadelphia Eagles head coach Chip Kelly will utilize these two in ways that will keep any defense on their heels. I think this his dynamic duo will be on more than a few ESPN highlight reels.
