2014 NFL Mock Draft: Eagles Chip Kelly Has A Plan
Next Thursday, May 8th, 2014 the NFL Draft will arrive. For me, it will be one of the most exciting drafts to watch. The Philadelphia Eagles are just one, maybe two good picks away from shoring up their defense and make a run to the Super Bowl or multiple Super Bowls. Philadelphia Eagles head coach Chip Kelly has a plan and that plan has nothing to do with what the “experts” have to say. Kelly knows what he is doing.
So hang on for the second to last Inside the Iggles mock draft of the 2014 season. I ran several draft models and each one chose a different player for the Eagles. Some of them were crazy like a defensive tackle or a guard. Of course, I did not use any of those picks.

1. Houston Texans
Jadeveon Clowney
Defensive End, South Carolina
Until about two weeks ago it looked like the Houston Texans were going all-in on a quarterback. But more and more reports are coming out that USC Defensive End Jadeveon Clowney is the real deal. With each passing day it’s becoming evident that none of the top three quarterbacks are a number one pick. Clowney appeared to lose his edge last season with USC but maybe he was making sure he did not injure himself before the draft. Either way, first year Houston Texans head coach Bill O’Brian shouldn’t pass up on Clowney.

Offensive Tackle, Auburn
Hard to pass up on the safe pick here. With the number two pick the Rams should not risk a pick on any of the Big Three quarterbacks. Now if Clowney doesn’t go to the Texans, I’m sure the Rams would snatch him up.
