It is finally draft week and the NFL Draft Trade Rumors are abound. Recently Sports Illustrated’s Peter King posted a list of the latest trade rumors on his website The Monday Morning Quarterback. His take on the latest Philadelphia Eagles trade rumors are interesting;

Keep hearing they want in on the prime receiver action, and the receiver they want could be LSU’s Odell Beckham, who can play outside, inside in the slot and as a returner. But the Eagles would have to trade up, and GM Howie Roseman is doing his due diligence, talking to at least two teams in the mid-round neighborhood, when Beckham would likely go. But the cost could be too rich for the Eagles’ blood. They may have to settle for Marqise Lee, who would be some consolation prize.

The Eagles only have six picks in the draft this year. That is a fairly small amount given the gaps they need to fill. The loss of Washington Redskins wide receiver DeSean Jackson is huge. Even with that loss I cannot imagine them giving up a pick to move up six to eight spots in hopes to get a rookie wide receiver. That just seems like giving up a lot for a little.

Let’s add this to the long list of empty rumors.
