The Philadelphia Eagles’ first round moves were unexpected and their first pick seemed to come out of left field. Louisville Cardinals defensive end Marcus Smith is an interesting pick for the Eagles. Auburn Tigers defensive end Dee Ford is a much better prospect than him. I am not crying foul because “my guy” wasn’t selected but to compare both of these men and Ford comes out on top every single time. Here is Smiths NFL Scouting Report.

I am not happy about this pick. However, I am not the general manager or head coach. I did not see Smith’s workout nor have I talked to him. But I do not get this selection. The Eagles could have easily traded out of the first round for another pick, (or two) and picked this guy up in the late second round or third.

Not sure it was the best move for the Eagles.

Philadelphia Eagles get a D.

Here is today’s poll question.

How do you grade the Eagles first round moves?
