The Philadelphia Eagles are a better team now than they were when they were beaten by the New Orleans Saints. Although we will not be able to judge this until the end of the season, I feel confident making this statement right now. It is too early to predict anything but nonetheless it will be interesting to see whether I was correct on the Eagles off season moves come the end of the season.

The Philadelphia Eagles Best Moves

1) Drafting Marcus Smith Instead Of Johnny Manziel

“If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.” The Philadelphia Eagles have their quarterback of the future in Nick Foles and do not need Johnny Manziel. However, many believed that Chip Kelly would still prefer a quarterback like Manziel rather than the immobile Foles and there was a rumor that the Eagles were interested in Manziel. Thankfully though the Eagles didn’t take him. Marcus Smith seemed like an unpopular pick but I expect big things from him. I think he has the pass rushing ability to get double digit sacks and will also improve the defense as a whole as defensive coordinator Billy Davis will be able to get more creative as Smith is a lot better in coverage than Eagles linebacker Trent Cole.
