Andy Reid Reflects On His Time With The Eagles

About a year ago, I found out what I wasn’t good at because [I was] out the door. I went back, and I looked at it, and . . . I drifted away from the thing I love doing most, and that was coaching” -Andy Reid

Around 17 months ago former Eagles head coach Andy Reid was fired. And even though it wasn’t a surprise he was let go it was still sad for many fans and players when it happened. He was arguably the most successful coach in Eagles history. Under his tenure the Eagles went to the playoffs eight times in ten years from 2000 to 2010, four straight NFC Championship Games, 2001 -2004 and one Super Bowl. Though he never won the Super Bowl as a head coach he made the Eagles relevant after a very dormant period. Then something happened. He lost the team.

Hard to believe he fell out of grace so quickly after such a storied career with the Eagles. He lost the respect of the team in 2012. However, looking at the Kansas City Chiefs record last season I would say he learned from his mistakes.

Andy Reid is a great football coach. Many Eagles fans wish him well with the Chiefs. Maybe not too well in case they meet up in the Super Bowl one day.
