How Set Are Philadelphia Eagles Defense?

Cornerback Brandon Flowers recently joined a free agency pool thinning of quality-starting talent. Flowers may not remain on the market for too much longer. Teams are still in need of starting quality defensive backs, especially a Pro Bowl caliber back.

Looking at the Philadelphia Eagles defensive roster, I am of the rare opinion that there are glaring needs. To clarify, by “glaring”, I mean there is no one position I am thinking, “If this does not get an upgrade, this team will be in trouble.” With that said, every NFL team can benefit from upgrades, across the entire board, although having complete upgrades is not realistic.

I totally agree about curry… honestly I think in terms of ability he is our 2nd best DL behind Cox. With his offseason stuff that we’ve been hearing about and everything else I think we can maybe give thornton a lower level tender this year, let him sign with another team, get an extra late pick and then put in curry because honestly he is very productive being 3rd on the team in sacks despite being heavily underutilized. I would be very comfortable starting curry if he does well in the preseason.

Cedric Thornton is an above-average run stopper, but Vinny is relentless in his pursuit to the quarterback. As premature this may sound, I believe the entire season would change dramatically just by starting Curry. Love the comment, thanks.
