Is 18 Regular Season Games Too Many For Eagles and NFL

The NFL has been thinking of adding two regular season games to the schedule.  It isn’t clear if they would shorten the pre-season games by two or not. Many fans and players have complained about the risk of injury during the pre-season games and feel they are not needed. The season could start sooner with 18 games on the calendar. That is a plus! But on the other hand that would make a pretty long season for the players and increase the risk of injury.
