Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Nolan Carroll received a new lease on life during this season’s free agency. The four year veteran spent all his time with the Miami Dolphins. Needless to say he’s hungry for a healthy team with healthy leadership.
The Dolphins’ ownership and management staff seem to have no clue as to how to handle the team. Year after year he’s seen the same result. Last seasons scandal with left guard Richie Icognito and right tackle Jonathan Martin. But now he is under the wing of Eagles head coach and Chip Kelly and his future looks much brighter. He’s somewhat ecstatic regarding his new future.
It’s more just excited just because of a new possibility, a new chapter in my life, something I haven’t experienced since I’ve been in the NFL. I’ve been with the same team for four years. It’s been the same thing every year and it’s kinda been the same results, going through certain things every year and trying to overcome that stuff.
Kelly had a knack for discovering college talent. It stands to reason he has the same ability in the NFL. He can certainly bring the best out of each player. With Carroll’s new lease on life and Kelly’s leadership maybe we may have a solid cornerback in the Eagles secondary. Lord knows we need it!
