Its Game Night. The Philadelphia Eagles kick off their season against the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field in a couple of hours. The Eagles are coming off a great and surprising season after going 10-6. They had an amazing run in the last half of the season. Quarterback Nick Foles stepped in halfway through the season and let the Eagles into the playoffs with a 7-1 record.
In a surprising move during the off-season Eagles head coach Chip Kelly released wide receiver DeSean Jackson who had just finished off a career year with 82 receptions for 1,332 yards and 9 touchdowns. Wide receiver Jeremy Maclin returns to the lineup after a season ending injury in 2012. Will along with rookie wide receivers Jordan Matthews, Josh Huff and veteran receiver Riley Cooper be able to fill the gap?
Will Foles return to form from last season? It appears he struggled a little bit in training camp. Can he have another career season? Did the Eagles add enough depth to the defense? With additions like Eagles safety Malcolm Jenkins, outside linebacker Marcus Smith II and cornerback Nolan Carroll fill the needed gaps they had last season?
Some of these questions will be answered to night. Kelly stated earlier in the week the starters will only get 10 to 15 snaps. So they have little time to impress.
