Are the Philadelphia Eagles Headed into a Trap?

Trap Games. The scourge of the NFL yet they exist. The Philadelphia Eagles experienced one just last season against the Minnesota Vikings. A game they should have won without question. Yet they allowed Matt Cassel to throw for two touchdowns, rush for one and ring up 382 yards in the air. And running back Adrian Peterson was sidelined with an injury. On paper, the Eagles were not supposed to lose that game. But they got beat down.

Sunday the Eagles open the 2014 season by hosting the Jacksonville Jaguars. On paper, tablet, water cooler talk and even a couple of weather channel models predict the Eagles should win this game. They have a potent offense, with three great running backs and three great tight ends. About 23 wide receivers and quarterback Nick Foles. A beefed up defense and offensive line. No way the Eagles could lose this game. But… anything can happen.
