While the NFL is facing probably one of the biggest scandals this country has seen in a while we can’t forget there is still football to be played. This week’s game has some intrigue. Not only will the Eagles host the division rival Redskins it also marks the return of former Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson. Unfortunately he’s listed as probable for tomorrows game, most fans hope to see him take the field but if the Eagles win it won’t be as sweet if he’s not 100%

It is not comforting knowing that Redskins quarterback Kurt Cousins will be playing the Philadelphia Eagles this week. He is a better “quarterback” than RGIII and in week 2 the Redskins dominated the same Jacksonville Jaguars team (41-10) that kept the Eagles pointless until the second-half in Week 1.

The Redskins defense appears to be faring well and Cousins provides some stability at the most important position. The Eagles should still win this game if their defense can make some big plays like a week ago against the Indianapolis Colts. Last year, with RGIII at the helm, both games between the Eagles and the Redskins were close in score but the Birds beat them twice and put up a total of 54 points. The Philadelphia Eagles will advance to 3-0.
