Writing about the Philadelphia Eagles is one of the staff’s favorite things to do. Having one of the largest staff of writers at Inside the Iggles we’re able to offer a wide array of opinions for our readers. One way we offer our opinions is to predict the upcoming games. We have writers from various parts of the world. Yes, there are Eagles fans everywhere. As it should be.

With such a diverse staff we decided to collaborate on the prediction of each Eagles game. Each writer offers their prediction of the game and the reason why. Agree or disagree, these guys have put a lot of thought and research into their NFL Week 14 predictions.

Seattle Seahawks @ Philadelphia Eagles  Inside the Iggles Staff Predictions

Jason Hunsicker, Staff Writer

This is the biggest game the Eagles have left on their schedule. Why? A win Sunday against Seattle renders the Dallas rematch pointless. Assuming Dallas beats Chicago on Thursday, a win by the Birds over the Seahawks has them 10-3 facing a 9-4 Dallas team a week later. Even if the Cowboys win, the Eagles would finish with one division loss (sorry, Washington and New York, but those are wins) and have the tiebreaker.

Lose to Seattle, and both Philly and Dallas are likely 9-4 heading into a crucial game that could* decide the division (*it is still unlikely Dallas beats Indy, so best case the ‘Boys are a five-loss team and the Eagles would hold a division tiebreaker).

All that said, I just don’t see the Eagles losing this game on Sunday. Due respect to Seattle, but I feel the Eagles match up too well against them for the Seahawks to get out of Lincoln Financial Field with a win. I see Philadelphia’s defense shutting down Seattle. I believe 100 percent that the only thing that can stop Chip Kelly’s offense is Chip Kelly’s offense, meaning they have so many options that it’s just up to Chip to figure out which one is exploitable.

It will be a tough game, but the Eagles emerge in the end thanks to a breakout game from Zach Ertz.
