facebooktwitterreddit

With training camp just a couple of months away, everyone is eager to see their favorite team’s hit the field for the first time in quite a while. For the Philadelphia Eagles, there are plenty of new topics to talk about including new projected starting quarterback Sam Bradford. What exactly does Bradford bring to the table when he’s healthy? Also, a gambling site set the over/under for the Eagles win total for the 2015 regular season at 9 games…do you agree or disagree? All that and more in this morning’s serving of Bacon, Eggs and Eagles!

Gambling website sets Eagles over/under win total at nine gamesJimmy Kempski of PhillyVoice.com

"In each of Chip Kelly’s first two seasons as head coach of the Eagles, he managed to guide them to 10 regular season wins. This season, gambling website Bovada.lv set the Eagles’ over-under for total regular season wins at nine."

DelVal’s Rasheed Bailey aims to make Eagles as undrafted WRReuben Frank of CSNPhilly.com

"The biggest crowd Rasheed Bailey played in front of his senior year of college football was 4,000 for a Division III playoff game against Christopher Newport. This isn’t exactly Michigan-Ohio State or Auburn-Alabama.Bailey took a different route to the NFL, a route that went from Roxborough to Doylestown and now to the NovaCare Complex, where he’s trying to make the Eagles as a long-shot undrafted wide receiver."

What They’re Saying About The EaglesTucker Bagley of PhillyMag.com

"FoxSports.com lists Marcus Smith as one of the second-year players who needs to make a huge leap:Projected as an outside linebacker, Smith struggled so badly that he was moved inside by season’s end. Smith has added 15 pounds this offseason in hopes the added bulk and strength will help get him snaps at a deep position for the Eagles."

Too Quiet on UDFAs?Tommy Lawlor of IgglesBlitz.com

"I have written about some UDFAs at length, but not all of them. Some of you think I’m being unfair to the guys I haven’t covered. Here’s the deal. Not all UDFAs are the same. Some have a legitimate shot at playing in the NFL. Others are essentially camp bodies. This isn’t an insult, it is just reality. Nobody will ever confuse my writing with David McCullough’s.The other factor here is time. It takes time for me to watch tape on the prospects and be thorough with them. We also have some dead time in the next few months. I’m not going to rush out every rookie article by May 15th when I’ve still got 2 more months until Training Camp."

Video: Every Sam Bradford pass over 15 yards in 2011Andrew Kulp of CSNPhilly.com

"Maybe you’ve already seen the video of every Sam Bradford pass over 15 yards from 2011. If you haven’t, and you harbor any doubts at all about the Philadelphia Eagles signal-caller’s ability, this is well worth watching. It won’t take long before you realize why Bradford’s numbers with the St. Louis Rams weren’t the most impressive. Here, he is often throwing to receivers who get no little or no separation from defenders, who flat out drop catchable passes and spend significant amounts of time falling down."

Speaking of Sam Bradford…while everyone seems to be down on the Eagles’ current quarterback situation, and respectively so. John Barchard, the host of BGN Radio, took some time late last night breaking down film of Bradford during his (healthy) time with the St. Louis Rams. Including this impressive pass against cornerback Richard Sherman and safety Earl Thomas in 2013.
