One of these running back prospects could be wearing a Philadelphia Eagles uniform in 2017.

The 2017 NFL Draft is still over two months away. Though that seems like a long time, the Philadelphia Eagles will be on the clock making their first-round pick sooner than you know it.

With the draft approaching, it’s fair to wonder how the Eagles will handle their deficiency of running back talent this offseason. Ryan Mathews is likely to be cut and Darren Sproles is planning to retire after the 2017 season. Unless the Eagles sign a running back in free agency, the draft will be the team’s last opportunity to bolster its weak backfield.

Luckily, this year’s draft is stocked with solid running back prospects. If the Eagles plan on selecting a running back, they will have more than enough options in the first several rounds of the draft.
