Eagles Sign LeSean McCoy

According to NFL.com’s Steve Wyche, the Eagles have inked Shady McCoy to a four-year contract. No official word from the Birds, but McCoy’s agent Drew Rosenhaus tweeted the deal, so it must be true. In case you weren’t aware, Twitter is how everyone is getting their news these days.
With McCoy presumably in the fold, only [...]

Eagles Restructure McNabb’s Contract

The rumors and innuendo finally came to pass late Thursday tonight. The Eagles did right by Donovan McNabb and restructured his current contract, which is set to expire after the 2010 season.
Details of what exactly was done are still sketchy. Although, it’s believed McNabb was given a raise, some of which is guaranteed. McNabb and [...]

Eagles Sign Cornelius Ingram

Wow, the Eagles are taking care of business early this year. Banner and the boys inked Cornelius Ingram to a four-year deal late Tuesday night. Congrats to Ingram. Hopefully, he can stay healthy and pick up the offense quickly.
Only JMac and Shady are left. Since not many first-rounders have agreed to terms, we might have [...]

No-Show Sheldon

Not surprisingly, Sheldon Brown was a no-show at the team OTA today. Brown is still playing the re-work my contract or trade me angle.
To me, this is just not a story. I doubt Brown will be traded, and even if he is, big deal. Ellis Hobbs can start. Enough, already!
Max Jean-Gilles also participated in the [...]

Eagles Sign ex-Temple Quarterback

Adam DiMichele, a three-year starter at Temple, signed with the Eagles today. He’s 6′1″, 195 and is considered a “Wildcat” type signal caller. This info comes directly from a press release emailed to me, so if it’s wrong, blame his agent/attorney.
Personally, I wish the “Wildcat” would go away. It’s a gimmick that will be shut [...]

McNabb Speaks… I mean blogs

Donovan McNabb released his first post-draft blog entry on Yardbarker. You can read the whole thing over there, but here are a few tidbits:
“Make no mistake, I’ve been training like crazy to make sure that I can improve as a quarterback and do everything necessary to try and win a championship for this city. I [...]

Eagles Trade for Ellis Hobbs

After collecting 6 fifth-round picks, the Eagles finally made a move to unload some of them. They swung a draft day deal with the Patriots to acquire cornerback/return man Ellis Hobbs. Hmm? Is this a message for Sheldon Brown? Who knows, but they did need another corner. Better to have a vet than a rookie, [...]

Eagles Draft LeSean McCoy

The Eagles continue to hit home runs in the 2009 draft. I nailed this pick earlier today. Pitt running back LeSean McCoy fills the much-needed running back spot. McCoy is a Westbrook clone. Fast, shifty with a great set of hands, McCoy will fit in nicely in the Birds’ backfield. He’s not known as a [...]
