Still a lot to figure out.

The Philadelphia Eagles have reached the one-week mark since training camp got underway, and it has been filled with so many storylines.

Their offense has been inconsistent at best, with Jalen Hurts and the unit trying to get in sync with new offensive coordinator Sean Mannion's scheme. Philly's defense sounds like they are going to be an elite unit and potentially the best that defensive coordinator Vic Fangio has had.

That still leaves a lot of questions about how each position group is doing and, from the major battles in them, who is winning and who still needs things figured out. Here's a look at the big training camp position battles and which ones are over versus still going on.

Which Eagles training camp position battles are over and which continue on?

Edge Rusher - Already Over

Jalyx Hunt is having one of the best performances at Eagles training camp. There have been multiple reports of him dominating offensive tackles, including Jordan Mailata, which shows how much he has improved over the summer. Nolan Smith Jr. will make for a good rotational player, but it's very clear that Hunt should have this starting job in the bag.

QB2 - Rages On

Honestly, it might be by the slimmest of margins, but this backup quarterback job is close. Andy Dalton seems to be having a slightly better camp, but Tanner McKee is right behind him. The Eagles need preseason games to separate these two. It's going to be quite a battle until the very end.

Safety - Rages On

Michael Carter II is starting to emerge as a great option to start, having one of the best camps among the Eagles players. Really, between him, Marcus Epps, and Andrew Mukuba, they are all having a really solid camp. Mukuba is a lock to start, but Carter and Epps are both playing well enough that there is no clear winner at the moment. Who could have thought that the safety position might actually be a strength to the team and not a weakness like everyone expected?

WR - Rages On

DeVonta Smith is the clear No. 1, and Dontayvion Wicks should be WR2—the problem is that after that, there's a backlog of guys. Makai Lemon has been hurt for much of camp,p and Marquise Brown is a veteran, so they should make it.

Darius Cooper is having another fantastic training camp, getting shouted out by Jalen Hurts for his strong performances. Elijah Moore has made a great argument to make the roster as well. Johnny Wilson hasn't had those kinds of moments yet, so it feels like there is still a lot to get figured out at wide receiver.

TE2 - Already Over

Stowers just isn't having enough memorable plays to really justify him as the backup. Johnny Mundt is the blocking tight end that Sean Mannion needs for his scheme. It feels as though Stowers is going to be a third-stringer as a rookie for this season and potentially replace Dallas Goedert next year.

RB3 - Rages On

Will Shipley has had an inconsistent training camp, as this week he had a bad drop in the passing game. To his credit, he did stay late after practice with Hurts to work on that route, so he's trying to make things right. None of the other backs behind him have made enough of an impact to note, so preseason games will have to determine this one as well.
