The Eagles would have likely preferred to have been in position to draft 6’2, 215-pound Stanley Jean-Baptiste here, but he was gone by the time they were on the clock in the second round (thanks, Seahawks, for solidifying the tall cornerback trend). Pierre Desir (6’1, 195) finished off a great week at the Senior Bowl and furthered his case as a top-100 pick. He’s fast and fluid, does a nice job reading the quarterback, and isn’t afraid to make a play on the ball when warranted. With that said, if the Eagles truly want to address their secondary woes, Desir won’t be the only cornerback they add this offseason.
