Dave:
The Detroit Lions currently pack a receiving corps that would effectively collapse in woe should stud wideout Calvin Johnson ever suffer an injury. There’s no reason for an NFL team in this era to have less than two capable starting receivers, and Mike Evans of Texas A&M fills the need perfectly as a physical target with great size and hands. If Detroit wants to address defense, I could see cornerback Justin Gilbert land here.

Giorgos:
Mike Evans is the wideout the Detroit Lions have been missing the last few years. Calvin Johnson has been carrying the torch alone for far too long and if the Lions want to be a real contender, they need a legitimate threat on the opposite sideline. Mike Evans is 6′ 5″ tall, has a lean frame and great speed. His long arms allow him to grab the ball high in the air or away from his body. He can beat most receivers on 50-50 balls. Like Dave suggests, Detroit could try to upgrade its secondary with this pick, but it won’t be wise to let Evans slip further.
