Dave:
It’s not often a team is happy that they missed getting a quarterback early, but Oakland avoids having to make a choice similar to Jacksonville with the top three off the board. The genetic freak of nature, better known as South Carolina defensive end Jadeveon Clowney, instantly becomes a cornerstone of the franchise’s defense for the next decade and allows Oakland to focus on offensive needs throughout the rest of the draft.
Giorgos:
I am not a big fan of Jadeveon Clowney. He is one of a kind when it comes to athleticism and frame, but I have serious concerns regarding his passion for the sport. Even if that’s the case, it will be hard for the Oakland Raiders to pass on him. Fifteen years from now, he could be an NFL legend. The kid weighs more than 270 pounds and can run 40 yards in 4.5 seconds. Offensive tackles will have a hard time stopping him one-on-one. If he stays motivated, he can be the cornerstone of the Raiders team.
