Round 3, No. 86

De’Anthony Thomas, RB, Oregon

Before you go grabbing the pitchforks and screaming about defensive needs, hear me out.  Thomas, one of Chip Kelly’s most dynamic playmakers at Oregon, would once be reunited with the man who will likely be able to get the most out of him.  I don’t see many other coaches, short of maybe New Orleans head coach Sean Payton, who will be able to utilize Thomas to his full potential.  Thomas would be used all over the field and could even have a season to learn from recent signee former New Orleans Saints running back Darren Sproles, who has been one of the most dynamic playmakers in the league during his career.  Imagine an offense with Thomas, Sproles, All Pro running back Lesean Mccoy, Pro Bowl receivers Desean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin, and tight ends Brent Celek and Zach Ertz.  That group would make up one of the most explosive offenses in the league, if not the most explosive.

Alternatives: Pierre Desir, CB, Lindenwood or Anthony Steen, OG, Alabama
