Round 5, No.

Tajh Boyd, QB, Clemson

Tajh Boyd was viewed as a potential first-round quarterback before the 2013 NCAA season began.  While he has slipped quite a bit due to inconsistency and questions about his accuracy, he is a developmental prospect who could perform well when called upon.  He is a bit undersized at 6’1″, but that didn’t stop him from leading Clemson to an exciting Orange Bowl win in a shootout over the Ohio State Buckeyes.  Boyd, under Chip Kelly’s tutelage, could be a great backup and, more importantly, one who could run Chip’s offense.  After all, Chip Kelly’s coaching helped Nick Foles reach the Pro Bowl last year.

Alternatives: Chris Boswell, K, Rice or Shaq Evans, WR, UCLA
