The Eagles have beefed up their secondary this week through free agency. With the improvement of potential pass coverage this will slow the opposing quarterback’s ability to get rid of the ball. Ford brings youth and speed to the Eagles’s defensive line. In some cases bigger isn’t always better and with Ford’s speed he can attack the quarterback before he can release the ball. At 6′ 2″ 252 he has a smallish frame to defend against the run which should be a concern. But Philadelphia Eagles defensive coordinator Billy Davis will have a plan to combat that if need be. Ford has a good football mind. Most of his tackles are at an angle or from the side. He knows he may get run over on a head-to-head confrontation and he compensates for this with simple physics.
