18. New York Jets
Marqise Lee
Wide Receiver, USC

Previously: Odell Beckham, Jr. (Wide Receiver, LSU)

Giorgos:

Eric Decker is a legit wide receiver but he is not a true “number one” option. The New York Jets select Marqise Lee to line up opposite of Decker, pairing a deep threat with a big body. Lee’s speed and refined route running make him one of the best prospects of this draft. He is far from a complete receiver, but Geno Smith need more weapons.

Dave:

The Jets would be best served adding more talent at wide receiver, and the pick came down to Lee or Odell Beckham, Jr. Giorgos and I agreed that Lee is the best fit for immediate impact at either outside receiver position, and Rex Ryan could use all the help in the world getting more security blankets for Geno Smith (or Michael Vick?)
