27. New Orleans Saints
Kyle Fuller
Cornerback, Virginia Tech
Previously: Aaron Donald (Defensive Tackle, Pittsburgh)
Giorgos:
The New Orleans Saints are in need of a starting cornerback. Kyle Fuller has been climbing up the boards lately. He has small size, but his talent and aggresiveness make up for that. Fuller is a good fit in zone coverage as well as in man coverage. He is a good tackler and likes to keep the play in front of him, allowing catches but taking away big plays from his matchup.
Dave:
Fuller is an immensely talented prospect who has some injury concerns keeping him from going much higher, but the Saints are guaranteed a day one starter from the nickel and eventual full-time outside starter by adding Virginia Tech’s Kyle Fuller. Prior to a finger injury that kept him off the field in his senior year, Fuller was named Honorable Mention All-ACC in 2012.
