Dec 5, 2014; Santa Clara, CA, USA; Oregon Ducks quarterback Marcus Mariota (8) carries the ball against the Arizona Wildcats in the Pac-12 Championship at Levi

The Philadelphia Eagles will watch the playoffs like the rest of us this season, from home. Here is my first mock draft of the year. After a beyond disappointing loss to the Washington Redskins, it is time to look forward to the draft for the Eagles and start hoping for next year.

*=Real Life Trade   ^=Projected Trade

1. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2-13)
Marcus Mariota
Quarterback, Oregon

The Heisman Winner, looks to be the top quarterback in the draft, however he may not be the perfect fit for Lovie Smith’s “classic” offense. It is for this reason that the Buccaneers could be open to a trade here. The New York Jets and Philadelphia Eagles seem the most likely to jump at a chance to grab Mariota. An interesting trade package from the Eagles could include quarterback Nick Foles if the Buccaneers feel he is a better fit for their offense.

2. Tennessee Titans (2-13)
Bryce Petty
Quarterback, Baylor

Either Petty or Conner Cook of Michigan State seem like good fits here for Tennessee, but Cook looks unlikely to enter the draft at this point. The obvious choice here, talent wise, is Jameis Winston of Florida State, however, Winston’s off-field issues should be enough to lift Petty ahead of him. The Titans will take a page out of the Jacksonville Jaguars book by taking the safer option over the exciting option (quarterback Blake Bortles over quarterback Johnny Manziel). Bryce Petty has also reportedly been scouted by the Philadelphia Eagles and should he be available for them they should be willing to take him, or even trade up for him.

3. New York Jets^ (From Jacksonville Jaguars) (3-12)
Jameis Winston
Quarterback, Florida State

The Jets are going to have a lot of pressure on them to take a quarterback in this draft. With the jobs of their coach and general manager in serious question it wouldn’t surprise me if they take the opportunity to grab Winston from the Jaguars who already have their young quarterback.
