Everyone is aware of the big names available in free agency year in and year out. But what about those signings that nobody ever talks about? Those players sometimes have a larger impact than the guys that get the outrageous checks and guaranteed money.

As Eagles’ fans, we know all too well that winning free agency doesn’t always equate to winning on the field. Sometimes, making as little changes as possible and having continuity on a roster is the best direction to go in. There are quite a few questions the Eagles have to answer regarding their own pending free agents and other players that are set to make a bit more than what they’re worth.

Obviously the team’s number one priority on offense should be re-signing Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Jeremy Maclin. In order to do that, they have some tough decisions to make regarding other players on their offense. Longtime Eagles’ guard Todd Herremans is set to make $5.2 million in 2015 on top of being 32 and recovering from season-ending surgery to repair torn biceps. There’s also Eagles tight end James Casey who is due $4 million and has done a whole lot of nothing on offense since joining the team in 2013. Although he’s valuable on special teams, that’s way too much money for Casey.

Then there’s the “elephant in the room”, that is Philadelphia Eagles running back LeSean McCoy. The pro bowl runner is on the books for nearly a whopping $12 million in 2015. Although the man we know and love as “Shady” is one of the best running backs in the league, many believe he could be asked to take a pay-cut or possibly traded. At the end of the day, Chip Kelly seems to really like McCoy and even said himself that he wants him to stay in Philadelphia.

That all being said, let’s take a look at five potential bargains the Eagles should consider signing in free agency to help them on the offensive side of the ball.
